Vision and Aims
The Vision and Aims of
Dorset Film Touring realise and put into practice the formal Objects of the
Charity & Company
Vision
To be an efficient, accountable, community-based and
best-value organisation which provides opportunities for the enjoyment and
appreciation of cinema for people living in Dorset and neighbouring counties,
especially those whose access to cinema is limited.
Aims
This Vision will be achieved by:

Providing
a year round local film exhibition service through the
Moviola scheme

Devising
and delivering special film events
for the area including Film Festivals

Co-operating with partners in film education
activities

Providing
screening services for other agencies
wishing to show films within a more general arts, education or training
programme

Providing
a consultancy service for those
seeking to begin or enhance rural film exhibition both in
Dorset and more widely in the UK

Working
in partnership with other film exhibitors in
Dorset in programming and audience development

Creating & developing
robust and effective management and operation
