Funding Support

Dorset Film Touring aims to be an efficient, effective and best-value organisation, keeping administrative overheads to a minimum.

The principal source of revenue is ticket income from the MOVIOLA service supplemented by smaller sums from the Company’s other services.

Given the scattered and rural nature of activities and the commitment of the organisation to supporting small communities, it is always likely that some funding additional to earned income will be required to support activities.  However, over the three years April 2005 to March 2008, Dorset Film Touring’s Business Plan aims to stabilise and secure the establishment of the Company and move it to a position where a MINIMUM of 75% of the costs of running the organisation are met from activities.
