Dorset Film Touring was incorporated in the United Kingdom as a Company Limited by Guarantee on 24^th February 2004 with the Company Number 5053960.

Dorset Film Touring was registered as a United Kingdom Charity on 17^th January 2005 with the Charity number 1107649.

The Company and Charity share the same objects:

1. To advance the education of the public in the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the arts, particularly of the art of film and allied visual techniques

2. To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for recreation for persons in the area of Dorset* who have need of such facilities by reason of their age, disablement, infirmity or social and economic circumstances with the object of improving their conditions of life

*  The area of operation of the Company and Charity is further defined in both registrations as Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Bournemouth and Poole
